That is a great question, and one we love to answer at Atlantic Medical Research.
Clinical Research is a stepwise process aimed at safely evaluating a medical, surgical, or behavioral intervention for the betterment of medical care
While clinical trials may vary from visit to visit, or what they treat, or how they treat it; the majority of how a trial is conducted is very much the same
SCREENING
Clinical Trials offer a treatment modality that could be a viable option for many people. To ensure quality data, every person entering a clinical trial will be screened according to the study protocol. Medical follow-up with our physician and study staff is the first step. .
QUALIFICATION
This step is followed by submitting the information we gather from you, and giving that to the research study team. This team reviews your data to see if you qualify to be in the research study.
TREATMENT & FOLLOW-UP
If you qualify to participate in the study, you will begin the treatment and be closely monitored throughout the course of the research trial. The ammount of treatment and follow-up visits vary from trial to trial
What are the benefits to participating in a clinical research trial?
Clinical trials can provide access to new or experimental treatments that otherwise aren’t available to everyone. The data collection process also ensures close follow-up with our patient population. Some clinical trials may also offer compensation.
